Apple just announced a fully redesigned MacBook Air with an M2 processor. The display is now larger at 13.6 inches and gets closer to the edge of the lid because the new 1080p camera has been hidden in a notch. It features two thunderbolt ports, a headphone jack, and a MagSafe charging port. The M2 MacBook Air will be available in July 2022, starting at $1,199.

Damn this is hard to decide. M1 mac for 300$ less. This or 14 inch msc for 300$ more. Or heck 10c CPU 14 for 500$ more
gasp Apple just invented a USB-C charger that has more than one port!!
Just imagine all the things you can do with this ingenious accessory – charge 1 thing at a time, or charge 2 things at a time! I never dreamed of being able to do that!

Should I get the MBA M1 with 16gb ram or the M2 with 8gb ram? According to the apple site, it would be in the similar price range so I kinda have no idea which one to choose.
Btw, I am a college student who will use this macbook for my 6 year course schoolworks. I'm also a youtube vlogger so I'd edit photos and videos. For leisure, I would watch movies and do light gaming as well. Which MBA is the best for me? (first time macos user 🙂 )

Have been using my M1 for 2 years and it's been seamless. Tempted to gift this one to my mom and upgrade to that midnight.
It doesn't really make sense to spent extra on M2. They are not introducing any groundbreaking feature. Instead of spending extra money for M2 users can go for 16GB M1 or macbook pro M1. For me M1 is still the best one
This MacBook Air with M2 has actually a really good price/performance -ratio when thinking of it and will be a solid investment for many!
a life saver. You will not see the stuttering initially with the 8GB unified, but when you have VPN, Onedrive, Google Drive, and other utility apps in the background, it is slow.
